By default SQL Server uses NTLM protocols to communicate with other SQL Servers.
NTLM is great for single-hop connections, but leads to problems when we try to perform multi-hop connections in SQL Server.
This is why when we try to set up a linked server to use Active Directory’s integrated security we get strange errors.
We will discuss what Kuberos is, how it works, and how to properly implement it in our SQL Server environment to allow our credentials to correctly pass between servers.
